This was my 59 that I owned at one time. I was curious to see if it was still in Missouri. I use to see it from time to time. I traded it to fast lane in St. Charles and saw it at I think kemp. But a few things had been added.

Mike with the Herbie bug on here works at Kemp. Maybe he has seen it there too.

Pretty sure I know that bug.

Used to belong to a dude named Patrick. Bought the splitcase trans from him. Still has the oversparay on it.

Drove by it today and snapped a pic. Lives off of Clarkson road now.

Don't know about the Fast lane or Kemp history on it. What did you trade for when you got rid of it?

Looks kinda worn now. Decklid looks like the right dual carb may have caught it on fire. But still looks good.

SeeYa. Ted.

Once the leaves are down, one can see it from Clarkson if looking closely.

I traded for a air bagged 67 Chevy truck the was chopped that had 20" on it + cash on my end. What a stupid mistake I made. It never had dual carbs when I owned it. It had a updated 1600 in it original transmission. It was and still is my favorite car I owned. It was my first car I had restored. It was jacked up with fiber glass fenders and craigers when I bought it. It had hockey pucks for a body lift. Pans were original. It was a long hard haul to find the missing seats, steering wheel and odd and ends for it. I bought it for $500 from a guy in Florissant MO. I was a few weeks shy of getting all the OG parts. Guy said I put them out for the trash man. Nobody wants that old crap. I about cried when he said the 36 hrs went in the trash along with wheels and interior parts. It was a very solid car. I think I had to put lower doors. I know lower quarters on it. Poor thing had some massive dents in the roof. The car ran like a top when I sold it. I am lucky to have my friend a VW mechanic. Thanks I would like to see her again.
