Post Joe from St. Louis
It's been a few years since I've owned a VW. I use to own a 59 and have recently purchased a 57 oval. I am in the middle of getting my 57 redone. Figured I'd say hello to everybody

I'm getting parts together for it now. Waiting for my mechanic to pull the last few parts off the motor them there getting sent to Jerry on here for powder coat. I'm excited. It's not my 59 I had. But I always want an oval rag. I hope I do not get stupid and trade this one off. Here is right after I picked up the car. The other pic was use broke down an hour and a half away from home in IL. Took my Dad with me. It was a great trip even though we spent the night in a truck stop broke down and bunch of guys wanting to talk about the car in the middle of the night. Hey I love talking cars. Just not after 16 hours no sleep and need to be towed home.

Freakin' AWESOME! Another Deluxe sunroof in the area! Welcome Joe... Keep it bone stock!!! Do not go over to the "dark side"! And do not sell that one, you'll regret it in the future! Oval Sunroofs are the best (well, unless you can score a Split window Sunroof!)! Let us all know if you need help or advice with that beauty! Have it buffed out to see how good the paint really is.

I have an original paint '55 Deluxe Sunroof in St. Charles...

Bill

It's in black primer at the moment. It was originally coral Red. I was having a hard time having it converted to water base. They had agave green in the computer already. So it is at the shop I work for starting progress and I think wolfsberg west and I are new best friends. The nickel and dime things are what get you.

Here is a picture of my tins, intake and muffler Jerry did. The intake and muffler are just done in standard powder coat by my choice.
