Post Re: garage hangs
Guess that Festival may not be going so well for Dana. Hopefully he's making the best of it.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
Danville, IL – Due to the excessive amount of rainfall that fell on Kennekuk Cove County Park in Vermilion County, Illinois on September 10, the site of the inaugural Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival, festival organizers have been forced to make a number difficult decisions for the safety of festival attendees and the welfare of the park. These decisions included closing off the entrance to the park on two occasions, most recently on the evening of September 11.
The Mayor’s office, Sheriff’s Department, Visitors Bureau and so many others have been working along side with Phases organizers to create alternate plans to get fans into the festival as quickly and safely as possible, and it has worked. There are still camping areas available, however many areas originally designated for parking are still oversaturated and not suitable for the weight of motor vehicles.
Festival organizers have taken every possible action to make areas of the park suitable following the storms. Multiple tons of mulch, gravel and hay have been distributed throughout the grounds to absorb the water. Helicopters were brought in to hover near the ground to generate strong winds that helped dry up the fields. These have all helped significantly, and have opened up more areas that were previously oversaturated.
At this time, everyone who has been waiting outside the festival has made it in safely and there is still some parking space available. Organizers are also directing people to off site parking at the Vermilion County Speedway and the Vermilion Regional Airport where they will be bussed in with their camping gear and directed to a campsite. The buses will run back and forth for the remainder of the festival, which ends on the evening of Sunday, September 14.
Phases of the Moon, co-founder, Barry Shear, said, “The rain came in pretty hard and left sections of the park underwater, making things very challenging. We are so grateful for the cooperation from all area officials, who have been working around the clock with us. Most of all we are grateful to the fans who have been so patient while trying to enter the park after traveling great distances. This festival is for them. THEY are the festival. THEY are the community we have strived to create at Phases. The whole concept of Phases of the Moon doesn’t exist without them. We are doing everything we can to continue to get everyone in here as quickly and safely as possible. And it seems to have worked. That’s all that matters to us at this time.”
Fans waiting hours to enter the park on September 11 were redirected to two locations, the Vermilion Country Speedway and the Vermilion Regional Airport, to spend the night and get picked up via shuttle buses starting at 9:00am on September 12.

Post Re: garage hangs
Actually Tim the festival went great for us. We paid the extra $50 for the early arrival ticket so we could show up on Wednesday the 10th. We had to wait about 2 hours while the entry line creeped in but we got parked and it was not in a swamp. We had about 20 minutes to get the EZ ups put up and staked down and then more rain hit. Luckily I plan for such bad weather and had my rain gear and boots. Lots of mud for the first 2 days but the music was fantastic and the bus ran greater there and back.

Awesome time, I would do it again next year for sure!

That's pretty much matches the reports I've been hearing. Went well for those that got in early on Wed. Sounds like it was cool to see the organizers work thru all the chaos.
