I've got a new window and a new seal that needs to go in the doublecab. Have any of y'all done a bay? Any helpful hints or actual help would be greatly appreciated!!

u need lots of hands, pushing on the window as u pull the wire or
string, and make sure the new seal is warm, & use lots of lube ;-)

Yeah, several sets of hand pressing evenly all over the place.

Just this past year we installed all the windows on my '59 Double-Cab, and our lubricant of choice (Roy and I also used this to do many of his 21 windows on his Deluxe!) a water-soluble clear jelly-like stuff at Home Depot used by electricians to pull wire through long runs of conduit. Super slippery, and eventually evaporates if not first wiped up with a wet terry-cloth towel... Wouldn't do it again without that HD stuff!

Cully & I slapped a windshield in that '71 highroof I had last year. No problem. That HD lube sounds good,I have always used a little soapy water and a small cord to pop them in
same as all the other VW windows I've done.Just larger
