Some scary shit to do alone, started at 4am to remove and old 4x4 support that the previous owner used to support a load bearing floor... it wasn't going to hold up much longer. I cut it out and added 2 new 2x10's to support the floor, made to a half wall where there will be a bar height counter with bar stools to sit and eat a quick snack/meal or set up for special occasions.

Sorry guys and gals, been busy, hurting, sick and all that crazy stuff. Been talking to doctors and audiologists about cochlear implants since I am legally Deaf un-aided and getting worst as the days go. Anyways, was trying to get the house done and moved in before christmas but that didnt happen as the guy I hired to finish my drywall screwed me over, stole some stuff and took off while i was gone ( Ill beat his ass senseless if I ever see him again )
Anyways been having a hard time trying to find someone to sand the entire upstairs (3 bedrooms on the small side and a small hallway) large livingroom ceiling and a sunroom.... I finished the kitchen today, hopefully finish the bathroom tomorrow??? Had my HVAC installed last month and been working great. My wife bought all new appliances which I leveled and secured as well. Enjoy a few more new pics.

Well, sunroom is done except flooring. Living room ceiling needs sanded still and paint then the flooring as well. Only thing left after that is all window/floor trim. Hope the inspector will let me move in and finish that as it goes. I will also be replacing the old windows as money permits over the summer, for now I caulked them all shut to stop infiltration of heating/cooling.

Ok. I have or should I say Had? 2 monster oaks over 100' tall and about 80' wide I needed down. Front tree is on a corner of the hill and no where for the roots to securely root and secure the tree so its leaning heavily towards the house. The rear tree was hit by lighting and blew a 7" swath out all the way down, splintering the tree and starting to rot inside out.
Most tree companies wanted $1600-$3000 just to drop them and leave everything which I couldnt afford.
The past weekend I found a guy who in exchange for the wood ( most of it, I will still end up with about a season of nice red oak) will drop them as well as all the other dead trees , cut into nice manageable pieces for $500. Cant beat it.
Rear tree came down yesterday, front is coming down today.
