Salt on my bus. Washed this off today. There is still so much salt all over the roads I'm sure it will get covered again after the rain coming this weekend.

Congrats on the '76 passing Andrew...and those logo's are friggin awesome.

Kevin's kicking ass on the s-cab...won't be long until it's trailbashing.

Me...well I peeled the heat tube wrap off...sexy huh?
And I almost have the radio hole done...just a few more tacks and a bit of grinding.
Later,
Roy

Nice, Roy. No, not long if this temps don't dip so low again.

SK688 = fire truck red/orange. Yeah, that wheel well was on the top of the list. Thanks Ryan. Need to order outer Gerson rockers for the pass side at some point. Bought a WW inner (the new WW metal), and it looks very nice.

Repaired the decklid and got it hung today with some bitchn' cabinet hinges (Bill style) for now; por-15'd the window frames, front floor, and inside of front doors. Also got a new rear window cut. Hopefully get more done tomorrow...

Got some cleaning done on the westy today. Washed all the curtains, scrubbed the cabinets, drawers, counters, stove sink and refrigerator. Woo my arms are sore. But it looks hella better.

:D.

Roy,
You've obviously been welding for a while. Looks good.

I've been on a steep learning curve with my new Hobart 140 :D

Real clean cuts Roy. I can see the perfect gaps you made for the weld.

my uncle one time had a gas tank leak, so he sanded down
the spot shiny clean, then soldered a penny over the hole !

i've also heard of people using 2-part epoxies, as well.

maybe you won't need to find a Replacement tank.

luck...db

I've heard of taking a bar of soap and rubbing the hole closed with some of the soap. I think it may be folk lore though. Something I heard when I was very young

The soap trick does work. I had a small leak in my tank about thirty years ago when I was coming back from a trip in Kentucky. Someone told me to rub a bar of soap on the leak and it worked. It is only a temporary solution though. You still have to get a professional fix. But it did get me home.

So it is true. Myth busters at work here on the AircooledMissouri site.

Pepper in a leaky radiator will fix that too.. I’ve actually done this and it fixed it in front of my very eyes.

clumsy me dropped a container of oil in the garage and splattered everywhere... so i had to push the thing out and wash it off. then had to wash my wifes car.... the camper.... and my truck lol it was an awesome day and the salt crap was on all the cars anyways.

the thing sees light...

Also drove the riviera around today too. Encountered a problem though. I could hit all the gears 1st 2nd 3rd 4th.... but was having trouble hitting reverse. I then adjusted the shifter and i could hit reverse but I wouldnt be able to hit 1st or 2nd unless i pushed down on the shifter like i have to do to get into reverse. then i would adjust it again and be back where i started.... hitting all forward gears but no reverse. cant seam to hit a happy medium.

Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this? worn shifter plate maybe? worn shifter ball at the end?
